about

'The Garden' is the second single from Colin Sullivan's upcoming EP release, Rock N Roll Heaven. This song was written and recorded on Valentine's Day 2015 as the last track to be included in the EP. I would like to imagine 'the garden' itself representing a metaphorical place of deep thinking which allows one to really look within.

lyrics

Walkin' down to the garden,
swallowed in (all alone).
I'm a writer with my own two hands,
gimme love baby, give me your hand.

I think it's understood, I know what I should. A man today.
You'd always say, keep your head on right, I know it feels tied around your neck.

She says "I'm feelin good", I say "I know, you should".
I think our lovin's passed, I knew it'd never last.
But I'mma write her as my only girl,
I feel alive baby knowin' her.

**double time break**

I'mma write her as my only girl,
I'm alive as the evening turns.

I think it's understood, I know what I should. A man today. You'd always say, keep your head on right, I know it feels tied, around your neck.
